Here I am again... checking in on a Friday night! Not the biggest blogging group are we?? Remember when you wouldn't be caught dead home on a Friday night.....?

Anyone psyching up for Halloween? We carved our first pumpkins last night. Trial run.. John is making the invites as we speak. Anyone working on costumes?

Jack is out freezing to death on a boy scout camp out. He was off all week for unknown reasons and obscure holidays (Alaska Day).... we went bowling, climbing had lots of friends over... ate lots of cookies... brought to you by chef Jack.

I am prepping the yard for winter...which includes... bulbs/mulch/pick up tools/trash/construction left overs before the first snow(usually around Halloween). Last year we picked our Halloween pumpkins off the wall in about April...(not sheer laziness... they didn't reappear until the spring thaw).

Johns headed off to look @ his eyelids ( he gets up early)... I will go search for some amazing show on televsion... because I just got home from work ( I stay up late, more like I sleep late) We will think warm thoughts for Jack.
Have a great weekend!

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

Howdy fam,
Friday's epic....
back from Seattle last night... great conference. Went to work tonight... nothing too exciting. Now sitting next to Jack (playing video games).. watching "Who's line is it anyway", listening to John snore. I am attempting to read about Disneyworld.... anyone want to join us? Going to florida.... Jan 6-14, 2008.
Today, we had our utility trench dug on our property... big, long trench. John got to talk to permit people...yipee! I am sure he would love to elaborate.
Tired........ surrounded by kitties and need to go to bed. Hope all is well and everyone has a fun filled fall weekend.
Kathy

Hi I am the

You are The Magician

Skill, wisdom, adaptation. Craft, cunning, depending on dignity.

Eleoquent and charismatic both verbally and in writing,
you are clever, witty, inventive and persuasive.

The Magician is the male power of creation, creation by willpower and desire. In that ancient sense, it is the ability to make things so just by speaking them aloud. Reflecting this is the fact that the Magician is represented by Mercury. He represents the gift of tongues, a smooth talker, a salesman. Also clever with the slight of hand and a medicine man - either a real doctor or someone trying to sell you snake oil.

Howdy!!!!!!!!!! =)

Hi everybody. well I'm in 6th grade. It's interesting.....

jgb"s tarot card reading

You are The Sun

Happiness, Content, Joy.

The meanings for the Sun are fairly simple and consistent.

Young, healthy, new, fresh. The brain is working, things that were muddled come clear, everything falls into place, and everything seems to go your way.

The Sun is ruled by the Sun, of course. This is the light that comes after the long dark night, Apollo to the Moon's Diana. A positive card, it promises you your day in the sun. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. As the moon symbolized inspiration from the unconscious, from dreams, this card symbolizes discoveries made fully consciousness and wide awake. You have an understanding and enjoyment of science and math, beautifully constructed music, carefully reasoned philosophy. It is a card of intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy.

Had a great day with the garrard family

Thanks to Jack, John, Kathy, Judy, Terry and Neal, we had a great get together at the beach house today. For those Becketts' that are stuck at school too bad, we eat your share of the peach pie. No big news from the home front. Judy celebrated her 47th birthday and announce she had made it to her 2nd year anniversary at her current job. Kathy flew in this am and joined us for lunch before going back to Seattle to meet her co-workers for a week-long conference.

Around other parts of the U.S.

Mike has joined the DU house at the at University of Washington and says he is actually going to class and enjoying it.

Chris - is having girl troubles. He told me yesterday by phone, that every girl in his life was mad at him.

Yev- rumor has it that this is his day to report to the Komets, in Ft. Wayne, In.
